DyslexiaBuddy ("we," "our," or "us") provides an educational tool designed to assist users with reading. We respect the privacy of all our users, including children and families. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We practice data minimization.
No Account Required: You do not need to create an account, log in, or provide a name/email address to use DyslexiaBuddy.
No Microphone Access: DyslexiaBuddy does not request access to your microphone, camera, or photos. We do not record or listen to your voice.
Local Progress: All reading levels, badges, and settings are stored locally on your device.
We use Google Firebase Analytics to help us understand how the app is used and to fix stability issues. The data collected is anonymous and aggregated.
Usage Data: We analyze general patterns, such as which screens are viewed most frequently or how long users spend in the app.
Diagnostics: We collect crash reports and performance data (e.g., launch time) to identify and fix bugs.
Privacy Protection: We have configured our analytics to not track users across other apps and websites (No IDFA tracking) and we do not link this data to any personal identity.
DyslexiaBuddy is Ad-Free. We do not display third-party advertisements, and we do not collect data for advertising purposes.
We may use local notifications to encourage daily practice. These are scheduled by the app on your device and do not involve sending your data to a remote notification server.
To ensure the safety of our younger users, any links to external websites (such as our support page) are protected or limited to prevent unrestricted internet access.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
